Do you have Dell PCs? If so, this may be something which ESET considers a problem but others don't. There is some evidence of that which you can find if you search online for W32/Hiddenstart. In any case, from a casual search it looks as if it is a PUP (Possible Unwanted Program) rather than something worse. It could be something bundled with another program you installed. The Google toolbar is another insidious bundle with something as apparently innocuous such as Flash installer, only too easy to overlook these.0

And running ESET on my Win 7 desktop has found 5 potentially unwanted addons - Win32/Hao123 and Win32/DownloadAdmin.G
None were detected by either AVG or Malwarebytes !!
 Worrying .....0

What settings have you applied for Malwarebytes? There are several user-adjustable settings, so it could simply be a case of not having applied the appropriate settings. For instance, MWB allows for warning the user about PUPs, or not.
Win32/Hao123 is probably not all that serious, but Win32/DownloadAdmin.G is rather different, and may even be the source of some other problems for you including the go-slow. It is classed as a Trojan, and there is some evidence that AVs will not deal with it. However, I would have expected MWB to recognise and deal with it. That said, not all antimalware products find all the nasty stuff, and geeky recommendations are to use more than one such program from time to time, and an anti-rootkit program as well, if your existing cleaners do not do this.0

False positives in many cases that need investigation before panic .
I have two listed by Eset one is a file unlock program for files that cannot be deleted .The other a video converter .
Listed as POTENTIALLY unwanted not as a trojan and most definitely wanted . Its just that their signature looks like a possible .0

I have set Malwarebytes to scan for ROOTKITS and WITHIN ARCHIVES - I have set it to scan the whole PC for EVERYTHING
But it failed to detect these "viruses"0

OK My laptop has now picked up a third one - W32/Bundled.toolbar.google.D - a PUA that supposedly resets the browser homepage to Google - which, so far - it has failed to do - it is still on ASK !!
What is the cause of these infections and how do I clear them completely from my laptop
I cleaned my Desktop yesterday - by running ESET on-line - and no more have reappeared today !!0

If they are infections then you clicked or agreed or ignored something when installing a product .
If they are add ons then they are not infections but part of a package that you agreed to install .
Some products will list stuff like Win 8 Classic Shell as a potential threat as it modify s windows .
AV products may not detect files that are not a virus others AV products may flag them as a virus falsely .0
