This superb restaurant with rooms is formed out of two very attractive, yet architecturally different properties, which, from the inside, appear seamlessly connected. Linden House is situated in the Norman village of Stansted Mountfitchet: on the one hand you are deep in the heart of rural England and, on the other, you're only ten minutes from Stansted Airport. The countryside in this part of the world is very scenic and is dotted with some lovely historical market towns such as Saffron Walden and Bishops Stortford.
