Can anyone please direct me to shops in Orlando Florida, where I can buy good spec laptops with no operative system on it. I intend to load Ubuntu fiesty 7.04 on this laptop. I will be traveling to Florida soon and I am looking for a good bargain. my budget is around $450-$599. Thanks

While things are cheaper in the US I cant see you getting a laptop for those prices there is still a floor to laptop prices and £225-£300 isnt going to happen unless you can find refurbs or low spec celerons or T2080 dual core cpu's at the most. but don't forget to add sales tax on there. I think you need to spend another £50-$100 on top of your $599 to get somthing.
There are cheap electronics shops all over the place, former Belz mall at the top of I-drive a few on the 192 and at Old town but you need to be good at knowing the specs you want know the cpu family codes and speeds without having to look them up.
And I hope customs dont stop you on the way back;)0 -
Thanks Little John,
I was actually looking for shops that sell laptops with 240 volts instead of the normal 120 volts used in the US. Something more of an export market. Thanks0 -
Most decent laptops come with power supplies that work anywhere between 100V and 240V. However make sure that if you buy one, you get that kind of PSU with it.0
