Solar PV: energy supply and feed-in tariff from different suppliers?
I'd like to install solar PV, BUT I'm currently on a fixed price energy deal with a small supplier that doesn't offer a feed-in tariff. I've heard that in principle one can have energy supply and feed-in tariff from different suppliers, but only if the feed-in supplier agrees to it. Has anyone actually done this, or know of a supplier that permits it?

There is absolutely no requirement to use the same FIT provider as your electricity provider - the two are completely separate arrangements / contracts.
Personally, I prefer to use a specialist renewable energy company who actively wants to encourage people to generate solar PV (eg: https://www.goodenergy.co.uk/feedintariff/signing-up-to-fit), rather than the big 6 suppliers who are only administering FITs because they are forced to.We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
