Tips for holiday in Rhodes

I am going to Rhodes next week with my husband and son who is nearly 20 months. We are hiring a car and plan to explore the island.

Go to Rhodes town - old medieval castle and marina + old streets with small shops and cafes/restaurants.
Not sure of parking there though - we went on the bus from Ixia.0
