Lease extension: owner dies & property is in probate just before tribunal

Hello.
We're having an interesting time trying to extend our lease. Negotiations have been slow & frustrating - and ultimately unsuccessful. So we applied to the tribunal...
We're all set for tribunal, then the landlord's solicitor notified us that the owner has recently died & we've been negotiating with her daughter, but there's no will & she has to apply for probate - so she can't actually agree a deal & they want us to drop the tribunal.
Has anyone come across a lease extension on a property in probate, or have any thoughts? We're tempted to go ahead with the tribunal anyway & see if they can turn up.

Perhaps allow the issue of probate to be resolved before proceeding further. Will the tribunal accept a postponement?0

Thanks for the reply.
We've been in this a year already. They've responded at the last minute (which is their right, I guess) every time. Probate could take a long time and we're growing out of the house, we need the lease extension if we want to sell it...0 -

You really need advice on this from a solicitor with appropriate experience. I am not certain that lack of probate should mean you cannot continue the to the tribunal.0
