in Credit cards
Hello, I have a virgin MBN credit card and also a Capital one credit card.
I don't have any balance on them but also i cut the cards up a long time ago and don't have those or any documentation.
Can i write to them and ask them to close them even though i don't have my account number etc?
Also does anyone have a link to a pro forma letter. Thanks.

you can just call them & give them your name and address & they should be able to identify your account.
but out of interest, why do you want to close the accounts?0 -
Errrr !! How about ringing them and giving them your name/address :rotfl:0

Why do you need a pro-forma to say "Please close my account 1234.... with immediate effect."?
As suggested - phone them up to find the details and ask them what you need to do to close the account.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0 -

I closed two unused accounts by phone earlier this year. One had a small positive balance and I was given the option to get a cheque or donate it to charity.
Both of them then wrote to me and confirmed the account was now closed.0 -

In 30+ years of having cards I don't think that's ever been the case.
