Is it possible to keep the old units (kitchen 10 years old), add new kitchen (as we are planning an extension) and fit similar doors of the new kitchen to the old units..I am just hoping to buy less new units that way..is it a good idea?
  • Avoid integrated appliances if you can. They can be a pain when repair or replacement is required, as they don't tend to last as long as your kitchen.

Howdens and Magnet Trade are good places to start from. Do not worry if you are not trade and cannot get firm prices. Instead try a local branch of a builders merchant - they will be used to competing against Magnet and Howdens, and they will be used to builders haggling for a deal. You can do exactly the same with them. They are not trade ony, they want your business, so do not be shy!
