Unable to open internet explorer

Can anyone help.

I have one page open at the moment using the internet ( so I am able to write this post thankfully ) but when I click on the tab page at the top to open a new page it won't let me and starts trying to download something.

If I press cancel the new page shuts down.

The same also happens when I try and open a new page from the beginning ( by clicking on the blue e sign ) it trys to download something and then shuts down when I decline the download

The download on the tab part says it wants to download a file called tabs welcome and when I try and bring up a new page it trys to download navcancl !!!

I too scared to close down the internet and lose this page in case I will be unable to connect to the internet when I next try.

I am not very techie so I am hoping the above makes sense

You could also try and download an alternate browser like firefox - https://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/products/firefox/

Thanks very much working again. Its just taken me a while to apply it and shut down and restart the computer. Very happy
