According to Forbes however it would actually be poorer than Mississppi as well.
Australia would be the 40th richest of 51 states, i.e. 11 below and 39 above her.
To be fair, if Australia became part of the free market in the USA, she'd see her GDP/capita rocket. The farming subsidies alone would add a fair whack on to Aus's GDP.0
