I have a large amount of vinyl LP's which I would like to record onto MP3. Does anyone know of any software I could use to achieve this goal? I assume I can plug an amplifier/mixer into the back of the sound card?

Yup, i did this ok with my dads tamla motowns. I just used the creative recorder with the soundcard.
Used one mixer and one turntable. Have a good mess round with the mixer/input levels to get a good clear sound.
My dad was buzzin when he could listen to his crackle free motown in the car.0 -
