Back from the mountains in SA to navigate through mountains of washing in my house  Raining outside, so heating will need to go on:o It would be a health hazard to delay processing the stuff that came out of DS's luggage #teenage #rugby:rotfl:
Hope everyone is well:)

Woah.......hadnt realised you were off to SA - have a great time. Spent a lot of my childhood in Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth and East London...........until my nomadic parents decided I needed to go to school in Pretoria for a bit before returning to the UK.:)
Hi Igamogam,
Thank you, it was amazingwe managed to quite a lot in a limited time, its been on my bucket list for a very long while. Funny, we were in your neck of the woods in our rief holiday last year too! Have you been back since then? it must have changed so much during the last 2-3 decades. Wish we could have had a few days longer, but I'm also glad to be home.
Hope all is well with you, noticed you have recently, will catch up tomorrow

I have no desire to got back NOA! Its not the place I remember as a child - my memories are based on rosy childhood spectacles of course as we where there during the height of apartheid. I have no memory of all that and only learnt about it as an adult - couldn't believe I was in the same place at that time . All I can remember is endless days on the beach surfing. Travelling around in a battered old van with my hippy parents. Running round barefoot and having a collection of 'exotic' pets........oh and not going to school for 3 years:D I dont think I would enjoy it now. My DDs have both been on school trips and both said the same - beautiful country but not a place they could live.
Yep I have popped up again on MSE after a brief period of getting on RL.......nothing bad in RL just getting on with it! Biggest thing has been the change in managing a health issue - now I am managing it myself I actually feel like, not a new person, but the person I once was before things started imploding - and its great to be back in that sense.:)Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Thank You Verbatim
and Brizzle
Understand totally Igamogam. All the time I was there I couldn't help but think about what the country has been through. Glad to hear that you are feeling good and in control healthwise.
Sorry didn't get on much today - back to RL with a thud this weekend, just surfacing for air from 11 loads of washing since Friday night - 4 dried out on the line today
Trip into town with DD today to get her laptop sorted, in time for start of her MA. DS has a nasty cold/cough so has spent much of the time in bed /watching tv. I have to have an earlier night as have a full week of part time work, plus loads of backlog now for ongoing SE projects, its going to be a hard week
I think I'll type a post to update in word first, then post as keep having a deja vu feeling that i'll lose it:(
