tomtom GO 40 with live traffic?
My very old tomtom has given up the ghost. I bought the safety camera update years ago, once. It still works, it hasn't been updated, but the info/cameras loaded at the time are still there.
I need to buy a new one, I use the M25 & connecting motorways & main roads, so I think live traffic would be great.
Ive found this for £55.00
But what happens to traffic after a year, does it just switch off?

That comes with lifetime traffic via smartphone, so just connect it via iphone?
I dont want to use the tomtom for phone calls as I have a parrot, I guess this isn't mandatory when you switch live traffic on?
This one also includes safety camera, maybe for a year?
Are these clever units so clever you loose the cameras after a year or do they continue but outdated?
Tomtom are doing £10 cashback & argos are doing a £10 voucher. So that brings the price down a bit.
I guess if it really does have lifetime live & safety cameras (even only updated fir a yeaf) then the Argos one is worth the extra.

The £55 one I mentioned does have live, but pretty sure its not lifetime?

The HD traffic only lasts for a year, funnily enough I updated mine this morning £47.50 - £8 off code so £39.50 for a further year.
I would suggest having a look at the refurbished ones on the tomtom site I have the xl live iq and am very happy with it.0
