Changing Details

I was wondering if anyone knows if I'm able to get northern rock to change my default date on my credit file following completion of my IVA - I defaulted in March 09 but my ex defaulted on the joint loan in November 11, which is affecting my credit chances of getting a mortgage with my husband. Is there any way of changing it please? Thank you in advance

If your ex kept the joint loan up to date until November 11 then it is correct to show on your credit file with a default date a couple of months or so after that.

That said it could be worth trying to write to the lender, pointing out that your IVA was granted in March 09 (or whenever) and asking them to backdate the default to then.
They would not be obliged to change it but there may be a chance you could get them to agree to.
