House of Choice

Hi all,
My partner and I purchased a wardrobe and chest of drawers from them online almost a month ago now (1st August). They came up pretty high on a Google search for sliding wardrobes so presumed they were a reputable company.
Originally they blamed it on the delivery company and "invoicing" issues with them. Then were told it had been sent and was again the delivery companies fault that they hadn't called us to arrange delivery and the items were marked as dispatched on their website on the 15th. Although we haven't received a confirmation email.
Delivery company say they haven't even been told to collect the items and don't have them and now were stuck in limbo as over the past week House of Choice have stopped answering phone calls or responding to emails.
I was wondering if anyone could help me with the right course of action? As blood out of a stone comes to mind asking for our money back.

How did you pay for them?

  • Yeah. Haven't arrived and as far as we can tell haven't been dispatched to couriers yet.

Contact your bank and start a chargeback for non-delivery.

  • Thanks for the advice. My partner will ring her bank tomorrow. If that doesn't work I'll probably be back on here moaning. lol

If they can't provide proof of delivery then the chargeback should go through without issue. But do let us know how you get on :)

  • The bank said 7-10 days to get it sorted. We should get the money back as we've got several emails saying they had sent it and the delivery company saying they haven't been instructed to pick anything up.
I get the feeling they will try and wriggle out of it as much as possible Fingers crossed though.
