Hi
We currently have a hot water tank and 2 storage heaters and want to look at installing a gas central heating system and pay monthly for it. Does anyone knkw any good deals available? We did have someone come out to assess us for green deal to be told its now stopped.

Unless there is an overriding reason for switching to gas then it is usually best to do the maths to work out if it is more economical to change or stay as you are. Do you currently have gas to the property ? The cost of getting this installed if you don't can be really high.0

Yeh we already have gas into the property. There is no storage heaters upstairs so will be a cold winter0

The Green Deal fund has run dry for this year-it hasn't stopped permanently.
If you need to borrow to do the install, far better to get a personal loan yourself and then pay an indpendent GSR RGI to do the job.
Companies offering credit will farm out the actual installs to the cheapest supplier they can find, and you'll pay far more that way for a poorer job.
Alternatively, why don't you simply add an NSH upstairs-not a hugely expensive job?No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

The "original" Green Deal is still running and offers finance. There're also the ECO schemes which can be used if you are on certain benefits or in certain geographic areas.
But I wouldn't be surprised if you're correct about choosing a competent engineer yourself outside of the scheme.0
