Sorry if this has been asked before I couldn't find thread about exactly the same thing.
We got issued a PCN 'CODE 11 U' for parking for 18 minutes in a free 15 minute bay-now I know that sounds straight forward but we were loading (bags of stuff to a charity shop ironically!) and then went to buy a parking permit from a local shop (scratch off kind) and came back to find ourselves ticketed!
Is there anything we can do, does the 20 minute loading apply?
thanks in advance.

Strange you didn't buy the ticket before you started unloading. The offence is, I believe, absolute so neither the reason nor the small amount of time over the limit will make any difference.0

its not strange, we decided to go shopping after. Anyway im asking if anyone knows whether we'd be covered by the loading rule I know its absolute which is why I put that to begin with but I'm blowed if I'm giving the council my hard earned cash for no good reason!0

If this is a legit council ticket, then you are best to head to the Pepipoo Forum - read the intro guide carefully and post all the info they ask for. These guys are very good about helping you through challenging a ticket but the lack of info in the OP won't endar you to them.
However, if it is a private ticket, get yourself into the Parking Tickets Forum here, read the Newbies Sticky carefully and post your own thread for further help and avice.0 -
thanks I'll look at that site, what other info can I give?0
