Statutory Report - Request from more than 1?

I get my statutory report from Equifax once a year. However, due to a recent fraud scare I'm going to apply for it twice a year.

I've been reading a lot recently about protecting your identity and wondered if I should also buy the report from Experian and Noddle just as a belt and braces option.

My question is, would this be useful or just a waste of money and time? All looks fine on my Equifax report.

Thanking you in anticipation of any advice.

for the sake of two pounds for the experian one and to put your mind at rest (or find out something that you can deal with) you may as well get all three.
    Noddle/Call credit is free.
  • I have recently got my credit reports from Noddle, Equifax and Experian.

I would recommend getting each report as both Equifax and Experian show some different information. Not every company reports to all agencies. For example, BT report on my files to Equifax but not to Experian or Noddle.

Noddle didn't show any information in my married name so was pretty useless compared to the other two.

    Good luck.
  • Thank you both for your replies. I have applied for a report from Experian.

Regarding the Noddle, I'm a bit worried about this credit report for life for free. I've always believed that there is no such thing as a free lunch. What's the catch I'm wondering, so I researched it on here and there seems to be conflicting opinions with them taking unauthorised payments.

If you apply for the free report does the application involve giving bank card details? I'm thinking if it's free they shouldn't ask for them! I'm a bit scared of all this applying for things that are free and being conned.

Indeed, I only took it up earlier this year. You do agree to receiving a few emails I believe, but I've not been spammed at all. In my opinion the Noddle free for life deal is a free lunch. :)

They need card details to help (additionally) verify your identity. From the application pages...
We need your card details to check your identity. Don't worry, you won't be charged and your card details will not be stored.
