Gas and Electric?
Hi Guys,
I live in a student house and we've just had the final bill from our old supplier. They have stated on this bill that for the period of around a month, perhaps 2 since we started being tenant at this house- the bill is £117. However, we've used no gas or electric really given that people have stayed the night for a night out but not really going anywhere.
Does this sort of figure sound what you'd expect?

It will be the result of an estimated bill - either a previous estimate was low or this one is high. As a final bill it is likely to be an actual read - so it is likely the previous bill was underestimated.
If you did not bother to read your meters when you moved in to clarify the situation then this is what happens.0 -
(If you did tell the previous supplier your actual read when you moved in then the bill is not yours.)0

No we read them and supplied it to our new supplier. I know because one of us had to take a trip their specifically for this purpose. I just disputed the bill anyway, they'd overcharged by 600 units of electricity haha“Washing one's hands of the conflict between the powerful and the powerless means to side with the powerful, not to be neutral. ”
