High water pressure causing leaks?

Hi everyone I was hoping I could get some advice please. I didn't have any problems until I had the combi boiler installed. I think the water pressure to my taps is too high, when I open any taps I can hear the water flowing in the pipes loudly and it makes a noise when I shut off the tap.

Now the bathroom sink is leaking from the back, it doesn't leak all the time. I called a plumber he said the pipes were too old and changed them but it still leaks. I have noticed it leaks more at night and if the tap has been running a bit too long.

Is there a way to reduce the water pressure? Am I wrong about the water pressure causing leaks, does anyone have any suggestions on what it can be? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

I'd start by asking the plumber back to correct the works he has done badly...
It doesn't leak more at night-you just notice it in the morning because the tap is not being used overnight.

not exactly true mm, the water pressure does go up at night, but i do agree with getting the plumber back,

yes when you change from gravity to mains pressure this can cause pipes & fittings to leak on the hot & cold & heating
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.
  • Thank you for the replies. I have to put a pot down to collect the water usually it fills up at night, maybe because its in use more as everyone is at home.

I have tried getting the plumber back for 3 weeks now but no luck.
