Should I accept ??

I have been offered £560 from Abbey in response to a claim for £1477 including interest (£1320 without). They say they have transferred this money into my account, which they have.

The question is do I accept or do I file a moneyclaim? Do I call Abbey to complain about the settlement?

Hmmm. Offers are normally accepted by someone. Looks like abbey has just given you this "offer" whether you accept it or not. Go for the full amount. They've offered a measly amount to shut you up hoping that you wont take it any further

... I believe the consensus is that you should contact them by letter and tell them you accept their payment as PART SETTLEMENT of your claim, and ask that they now supply the rest of the claim. You will get more and better quality answers on the Reclaiming Bank Charges thread.

So did you accept it or not?
