Frustration re PPI charges

Hiya, I'm new to this so please bare with me!
I took a credit card out about 10 years ago with Bank of Scotland (I think) and then it was taken over by MBNA. I am unsure if I signed up for PPI and have tried to find out from MBNA but they are batting me back to BoS saying I took the card out with them so it's their responsibility. BoS and batting it back saying MBNA are now responsible for my card. I don't know what else to do as both passing the buck.
Anyone else experienced this and sorted it out?
Cheers!

You have not said what you are complaining about so it is difficult for us to make a valid comment.0

If you paid PPI on a credit card it would appear on every monthly statement when your account had a balance. If it doesn't show on your statements then you didn't pay.happybunny99 wrote: »I am unsure if I signed up for PPI0 -
I am paying PPI but can't remember if I asked for PPI originally and I am trying to find out but no-one will deal with my query.0

You don't have a valid complaint if you simply can't remember agreeing to the insurance.happybunny99 wrote: »can't remember if I asked for PPI originally0 -
Hi there,
A mis -selling complaint will need to go to the actual company that potentially missold the PPI. In this instance it would be the company who originally sold you the card.
Unless, it was added to your card when it was taken over by MBNA, although this is rare.
Lloyds banking group are now handling BoS and some Halifax complaints. I would try calling PPI Complaints in Cardiff, St Williams House.
If you still have your card number, a card from 2004 should be relatively easy to trace.
Good Luck.0
