I think you mean too many.....

Anyway, this argument is completely ridiculous and could only come from an ignorant fool so it is obviously not worth arguing with you about.

Perhaps Jamesy is simply putting evolution into action :-) survival of the fittest and all that...why should he take any responsibility for "people with children, people with mental health problems and people with disadvantaged backgrounds"?

    Hi Peter,

EVOLUTION??! I thought we as a species had evolved? Through natural selection we have survived and flourished by developing societies and social systems that take care of each other. We are by no means the strongest species in the animal kingdom but surely we can claim to be the smartest. One of the things I thought seperated us from other animals is our ability demonstrate empathy for our fellow man and the ability to see things from others perspectives. A conscience and the ability to feel guilt and regret are what seperates us from the Monkeys and Psychopaths. Lets leave "survival of the fittest" in the jungle where it belongs shall we. Its not as if Jamesy would not "survive" if he doesn't buy his council house!

Sorry Jamesy I did not mean to come across so preachy towards you and I'm not meaning to be over critical. I am just introducing an issue that needs considering when thinking about buying a council house. Like it or not buying your council house will be making sure that it will not be availiable to the people it was intentially designed to help when you or your children decide to sell up. Of course you balance that point with your own needs and the needs of your children. I am also a council tenant but I do not have children so it easier for me to take the moral high ground. I would like to think I still wouldn't buy if these circumstances changed as it would be against my ethics. But everyones priorities and political views are different and I am sure I do a lot of things in my life that other people would consider unethical (Like tucking into a hamburger for example!).

I think your "too many foreigners" comment is a bit misguided though!!!

Don't know what gave you that idea :-)

No, we survived and flourished by killing all the animals that were threats and taking advantage of one another.

I would hesitate to claim that --- we run about making money which we then spend on things, then we go and earn more money. Meanwhile, sheep just stand in a field, eat, sleep, and relax. I know which one seems smarter to me :-)

I would bet that psychopaths sometimes feel guilt and regret. Not sure about the monkeys though...

You can if you like. Can I have your house then? I really need one.

But it would make his life better.
