Very close to exchange bit solicitor incompetent! Too late to change?

I had few issues with recent solicitor who left firm on Friday, so far dealing with partner but have learnt he is already misinforming me on matters which could have costed me another £200 had I not double checked with my lender, just wonder if too late to change solicitors given very late in stage?

would there be an advantage to changing this close to the end? It would delay everything by weeks as the new solicitor will have to go over everything that has been done so far.
It would also mean you have 2 solicitors bills.

I did think that too, just have had so many issues with them. Is it worth listing these complaints now with aim of compensation off bill as I have to pay before completion.

It would well be worth writing to them, however if you want to be sure that the sale will go through, to highlight concerns, pay the bill and sort it out afterwards is the best bet IMO.

The last thing you need is the solicitor dumping you now.
