27" LCD TV £234 Makro any good ?

    Depends what you want to use it for....

    It appears to have an analogue tuner built in, therefore will not work for TV after 2008-2012 depending where you are in the country, unless you use a freeview or sky/cable box as well.

    Didn't look much further down the spec, but good known brand sets around this size with digital (freeview) tuners are not much more than £100 extra.

    Makro prices are excluding VAT, so the real cost will be £274.

    Thanks - that's interesting so it's no good for digital. The £234 I quoted is actually inc VAT they are advertising it at £199 net

    Not according to the manual for the set.

    There are loads of TV's I've seen for sale at cheap prices at the minute, almost all have the analogue tuner as standard. I suspect manufacturers are dumping their stocks before they stop working.
