Advice for booking multicentre holiday - New York and Caribbean.

Hi,
I am looking at booking three nights in New York on the way to a beach holiday in the Caribbean.
However, I am having a little trouble finding a good selection of pre-made packages.
I would be really grateful for any advice/websites on the best way to go about this - should I perhaps go down the route of putting together a custom holiday?
Thanks in advance.

I would just put it together myself. Flights first then hotels0

If putting it together yourself look at JetBlue for flight down from New York to various Caribbean islands. American Airlines also have a good network of flights although some require connections in Miami.
For packages try someone like Virgin Holidays who offer what you seem to be looking for. They can offer flight and accommodation to New York then an onward flight to several Caribbean islands, then a flight back from the Caribbean to the UK.
Barbados, Antigua or St.Lucia might be islands to look at with good connections both from New York as well as back to the UK.0 -
I did New York and Antigua, but you may want to look at Bermuda as a different option.
Book flights separately and factor in time for delays if flying in and out of NYC0 -
We're doing New York and cancun (well north of cancun), we've found a hotel we love there, so decided to combine with a trip to New York this time. Open jaw ticket prices are easy to find on ba.com0

We flew BA to New York this year stayed 4 days then booked an avios reward flight to Puerto Rico and went on a Caribbean cruise from there then stayed 2 nights post cruise. Booked it all separately and it was much cheaper. Used quidco and got cash back on flights and hotels.0
