Lap top problem

Please help, no tech knowledge.

Apparently, I have drivers that need updating /missing, but I have to pay to have it done...think it was Norton that was giving me this info and others.
I believe this has prevented me from accessing certain web sites or downloading stuff.

Anyone, is this something I can do or a repair shop job? What would be the cost of his , is it a big job?

    In future, NEVER pay for drivers. Its a con, ALL drivers are free. All reputable manufacturers provide these on their websites.

    Not sure how much a local repair shop would charge to fix the problem though.

    slimdrivers will identify and help you download missing/ood drivers totally free, just untick/custom install out all the toolbarts/searches:-

    DON'T use the Download.com link (big green box), look just underneath it for the slimware utilities link

    You don't need SlimDrivers either. Windows Updates will usually update your Drivers.
    What machine are you running?

    I have used SlmiDrivers now.
    Windows have done udates but not sorted the drivers problem, use windows 7 with Google Chrome on an Acer Aspire 5742z.
