Hello all.

My dad changed his duel fuel from NPower to Extra Energy on 1/05/2014 through the Energyhelpline website.
He should get a cashback from them of I think £30 which will be paid within 120 days into his bank or a cheque.
It's nearly at the end of the limit no and I have sent an email 6 days ago to them but have not got a reply.
Has anybody else had problems with cashback from them or will he get his money but may have to wait longer for it?

Are you sure he is entitled to any cashback?

Energyhelpline do not normally pay cashback. The exception is if you go via the special MSE link and you will then need to see the image offer at the top of the screen.

The image clearly says £15 cashback!
(not £30 you believe to be due)

Even if due, the terms say it is normally paid 90. days after the switch goes live (there is no menion of 120 days you allude to)
    The terms also state:
In order to pay your cashback we require reporting from your new supplier. Occasionally this can take longer than normal and in these exceptional circumstances it can take a little longer for you to get paid.

So if your father applied on 01/05/2104, and given it often takes 4-6 weeks for a switch to go live, he's probably not due for any cash back yet, even if eligible.
But with all the inconsistencies in your comments, I'm not convinced he is due any cashback at all.

Are you certain it was energyhelpline he used? (and if so was it using the special MSE link?)

They probably won't answer emails from third parties (you) anyway. If your dad want's a response, he should send the request. Or why doesn't he call them if he's that worried?

My dad switched on 1st May so nearly 4 months have past.
I have looked at the website and the link to t & c are
    https://www.energyhelpline.com/fri/fri/Domesticenergy/domestic/TermsAndConditions/reference?reference=termsandconditions_1
If you go the cashback part about number 10 it says there about upto 120 days for cashback.
I am not at my dad's now but I have seen the email print off when he went through with the switch about paying cashback in April but I only remembered about the cashback when I was reading on here about Extraenergy customer feedback.

I switched to EE through EHL for electricity, going live on 29th April, and £15 was paid into my bank on 5th August listed as BANK GIRO CREDIT REF FUNDRAISING INNOVA, CASHBACK12345678 (the ref number has been edited). I assume that is what the £15 was for as the timing was about right ;)

    Thank you molerat.
I thought with all the inconsistencies in my comments I must have got this wrong but you have confirmed that cashback is due from Energyhelpline.
My dad went live on 1/05/2014 and he has checked his bank statements from that date upto today and no payment from them.
From the comments on here about EE maybe EHL are finding it hard to get info of peoples switching over to them and verifying this so they can pay the cashback.
    Once again molerat thank you.
