Letting agent won't give us meter readings

I also don't think they would be liable for usage after notification but they would be liable for usage up to notification and if the supplier estimates it at a certain level it may be difficult for the customer to dispute the level. However if another customer moved in and used energy for months before a reading was taken (and did not dispute this) then I don't think they could argue the liability was the previous tenant's. The difficulty would be if they disputed using this energy.0
