A wedding we went to had a self'made photo booth. It was a table with a box on with dressing up bits and signs and a back drop behind with their names and wedding date on (it would of looked lovely just plain behind too) and they popped some disposable cameras on the table and people were going all night taking pictures. Was lots of fun and could possibly be a cheaper alternative to hiring a wedding booth?Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

My cousin got married yesterday and the photo booth went down an absolute storm. I had mulled over having one at our wedding last year and decided against it and now I'm regretting it.
The best part about it for me was that we even managed to get my Dad involved so had silly photos taken as a family of four which is quite unusual for us. We all got a copy of the picture and a copy was stuck into a book with room alongside for the guests to write a message to the happy couple.0 -
These are the photos from my wedding a couple of weeks ago.
Honestly, it was hysterical!

With lots of fun props and a few drinks they are great fun, as soon as a few people start everyone gets involved.0

I'd say totally worth it
One wedding we went to had a proper instant photobooth, with a woman who stood beside it for the evening, printing out the photos and sticking copies of them into an album. The guests who'd got the photos taken got copies to keep for themselves, and they could write something in the album beside the photos that had been stuck in. The box of props was brilliant too (wigs, wands, crowns, tiaras, moustaches etc!), and it was so much fun, everyone loved it! The album was (hopefully) a lovely keepsake for the couple.
A cheaper DIY version is fun too - a camera set up on a tripod, pointed in the direction of a backdrop, and lots of props provided to dress up with. A wedding we went to that has this set up also had lots of cardboard "speech bubbles" (cut from cereal boxes) and markers provided so that guests could write a message on them and hold it up in the photo if they wished.

I had a photobooth at my wedding reception and everyone loved it. I cut a frame out of corrugated cardboard, painted it and stuck hearts on it, suspended it from the ceiling. Camera on tripod with remote. Raided the fancy dress box and printed off various pairs of glasses, beards, hats etc and stuck them on kebab skewers, in a vase next to the camera.
If you look on Pinterest, there are loads of ideas for things to print out. It takes time but it's well worth it. I've got loads of great photos from the night.0 -
I'm still umming and arring about a photo booth. My fianc! and my Mum have both been less than enthusiastic about it, but I think it might be fun.0

My best friend had one at her wedding and it was brilliant fun! It was used by everyone and we loved the photos that came out.
There were props and masks and wigs and all sorts of funny costumes, and it really was brilliant.0
