CPP -- threw form away, too late to reclaim?

The latest MSE email made me aware of the CPP reclaiming. Having received a form a couple of months ago, I threw it away thinking it was spam. But now I realise it was actually legitimate! :o

The MSE advice is to "contact the scheme team [and] explain the mistake you've made and it'll send you a new claim form". But the deadline is on the 30th of this month, so there isn't time for a new claim form to be sent out and then for me to return it. Is it too late to reclaim?

    I would think so.

    Sorry.
  • Oh no. :( I'll try ringing the helpline, just in case they can do something.

Good luck with getting through to them on the 'phone, they are apparently inundated.

You have three days to get your completed application to them. That's a big ask.

just filled my in - in blue ink and non caps - what a twonk!! :-( should I still send it?
  • Just called them - similar situation; moved house and lost form.
I was on hold for 25 mins but they did answer, and are sending a new form. They advised me to send by registered post so that they can see that they receive(d) it on 30th Aug even if they still have thousands to open.
    Good luck

If you send it first class post today (27 August) and get proof of posting (free from the Post Office) FOS will, if necessary accept that as confirmation of receipt two working days later (i.e. 29 August).

Send it on 28 August it will be deemed to arrive on 1 September (because weekends are not working days) and thus too late.
