I put salad leaves into a ziplock bag with a sheet of kitchen paper. Make sure to get as much air out as possible and it lasts for ages.0

I bought some living lettuce from Aldi for about 89p a few weeks ago. I split them into 3 and potted them up separately. I put them on the windowsill and picked leaves off when I needed them. I'm the only person in the house who eats lettuce and they are still going strong.0

I buy little gem lettuce and wrap them in foil. I also wrap my cucumber and celery in foil. They keep for ages in the salad drawer of the fridge, in fact I have kept a cucumber for 3 weeks using this method. HTH0

I replanted individual salad plants from a packet of living lettuce and, apart from a few slug casualties, I have a full planter of lettuces, lollos, oak leaf, really nice, all for 69p!Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0
