Do we definitely earn loyalty points for playing this? Can't see any mention in the t&c's.

With the European team announced I've selected my team. No idea if you get loyalty points but what the heck!

Well the player list has now been trimmed to the actual 24 players that WILL be participating in the Ryder Cup.

For those unfamiliar with this competition (The Ryder Cup)

8 players from each team (12 Americans & 12 Europeans) will compete against each other ......

.. in a MATCH PLAY format (so pars of holes is all but irrelevant) ...

.... on the morning of the 1st day (Friday 26th September)
AND
... again in the afternoon of the 1st day (Friday 26th September)

This will consist of
4 FOURSOME (alternate shot) matches
and
4 FOURBALL (better ball) matches
... one of them in the morning, the other in the afternoon
(Home captain's choice which way round)

The 8 players from each team that play in the morning will not necessarily be the same 8 in the afternoon.
Obviously given that each team is only twelve members strong 8 players (4 from each) MUST play BOTH morning and afternoon sessions.

Also whilst a successful pairing of playing partners from the morning may stay together for the afternoon, this is not always the case.
Similarly a pair of Europeans is quite UNLIKELY to end up playing the same American opponents in the afternoon that they did in the morning, but they just might.

Day 2 (Saturday 27th September) is a REPEAT OF DAY 1
8 Europeans against 8 Americans in the morning, and then again in the afternoon.
It's just possible each session, FOURBALL & FOURSOME, may be played the reverse (am/pm to pm/am) of Day 1.

Day 3 (Sunday 28th September) is 12 SINGLES matches.
So ALL 24 players PLAY TODAY
