Hi
I am looking for a 10" tablet and my budget is £100. I'll use it for Internet, emails, games etc. I've seen this one, any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks guys.

There are some wonderful specs listed for that tablet. The HDMI port is lovely to see, and there's 16GB of internal storage upgradeable using a MicroSD card. It's also fully-featured - two cameras, Bluetooth, and Kitkat 4.4. The CPU sounds good (ooh! Quad-core! Shiny!) but the A7 isn't exactly a powerhouse, so anything requiring single-core performance (i.e. most things) won't blow your socks off. However, it only has to drive a 1024 * 600 screen, so it should be fine.
But that's the big problem that I can see. 1024x600 is a shockingly low resolution even at 8" - at 10.1" you'll be able to count every single one of those pixels at arm's length. It will be especially uncomfortable for reading. It's also a Tabtronics brand device, and I've heard some comments about their poor build quality - but for the price, I imagine that would be expected.
If you can drop down to 9", you can get the Nook HD+ for under £100, which is a fast tablet of VERY solid construction (in the Crufts Tablet Round-Up, it passed every Beat a Dog to Death round, including the Alsatian). It's got a 1920x1200 screen, too, which is bright and gorgeous and excellent for reading and for movies. It has the A9 processor - only dual-core, but it should still outperform that Tabtronics' A7 by up to 50%. However, the Nook HD+ has a proprietary cable (included) instead of Micro USB, which makes it a faff to get a replacement. The HD+ also has no cameras.
Finally, I'm SICK AND TIRED of recommending the Nook HD+! It's been the value large tablet of choice for about a year now, since its price drop! TABLET MANUFACTURERS OF THE WORLD, GIVE US AN EVEN BETTER £100 TABLET, PLEASE!Q: What kind of discussions aren't allowed?

I agree with PenguinJim. When you buy a tablet you buy a screen so it should be a good one.
£100 quid is a decent budget for a tablet these days, it shouldn't limit you too much even if you stick to the better known brands. Why not got to PC World and have a look around?0 -

Fine, but when you've looked, go and buy it elsewhere...No free lunch, and no free laptop

Tesco and Argos seem to have deals on them every couple of weeks, but nothing special today. Right now the 32GB model is £150 at Argos, and you get £30 of Argos vouchers included. Thanks for that, looks good but struggling to find one for £100, can you point me in the right direction please?

I see a couple in New condition on eBay for ~£90(auction)-110(BIN), and Morgan Computers have a Grade A1 Refurbished 16GB Nook HD+ for £75 (BIN) delivered. If you can't wait, I think the best option on eBay is the 32GB A1 Refurb from Morgan Computers for £84 delivered.
