Thanks for the ideas, still struggling to find info on -line that gives age restrictions, but will ask my leisure centre what age limit they impose next time I visit. Am not worried in the slightest he will be propositioned, a) my experience of using them mirrors Savvy Sue's and b) he will be accompanied by either myself or husband.

BTW, I'd like to thank you for looking into the age restrictions and being prepared to abide by them. There are few things more irritating than young children (under 10) popping in and out of the sauna and steam room, leaving the door open because it's too hot, and generally annoying the serious users!

Sometimes it's because an adult has abandoned their child(ren) in the pool while they use the sauna and steam room, and the child(ren) want to know how long Mum or Dad will be, and they're getting bored.

They may know how to do it in Finland, but as far as I can see, the sauna is no place for pre-teens. And while supervising / playing with your children in the pool may be tedious, that's what you need to do!

My little brother (well hes around 6 foot!!) is 15 and loves to have a chill out in the spa near me when they come down for a holiday. children from the age of 13 can come in as long as they are with an adult and acting appropriately.

I'm not sure weather its for the sauna/steam room as he doesn't spend alot of time in them, mainly in the hydro pool or weather its to spend time with his big sis :D

The centre parcs spas are really nice and there are a lot of different rooms to chill out and relax in, it may be worth while looking to see if they do a day pass, he can always take a book or just float in the small pools is he doesn't like the heat of the sauna and steam rooms

    xx
