How to find out how much someone paid for land?

Apologies if this isn't really the correct forum but want to find out how much someone paid for some land... not just being nosy there is a reason behind it!
Tried rightmove, zoopla etc but they only pick up houses (even though it was listed as for sale on rightmove!)
I know you can get records from land registry but assume this wont show price paid?
Is there a way of find out?

I downloaded the title deeds to a house I was buying and it showed the price, but I can't remember if the price was on some land I bought. Also, it can take a long time (year?) for the prices to be updated on LR.
Its only £2 to find out...0 -
No expert and I may be very wrong, but surely land registry and land go hand in hand. I'd give them a call.0

Why wouldn't it? It's where everybody else gets their price info from.0 -
You can request a copy of the transfer form if you know the date of the transaction and that will show the price paid for the land. You need to complete form OC2 for a fee of £7.00.
You can also view/download the register using Find a Property service for £3.00. As the transaction relates to land, the price paid will not show on external websites.“Official Company Representative

Thanks again for your help, we found and downloaded the title plan online, but there is no register to show owner/price paid etc.
Is there anyway of getting the register... and i don't know the date of transaction (could probably guess within a few months but imagine this isn't enough!) to get the transfer form.0 -
Sorry for slow response but I failed to add an email subscription ot this one.
Bit odd that register is not available as usually other way round and it's the title plan that is not online.
Contact Us with the details inc rough date and title number and we can take a look to see what is available to answer the question“Official Company Representative
