Hi,
Can anyone help.
my Child tax credit should have been paid in the bank on Friday due to the bank holiday, My child benefit went in fine but my tax credit didn't. It has been fine ever since I got my renewal and they haven't contacted me to say there is a problem. I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem.
Thanks

How did you complete your renewal? Have you had the documents back yet saying it's been processed? It is possible that your renewal may not have been received and as a result your payments have been stopped.Sealed Pot Challenge #239

Hello.
I did it over the phone back in May and have received my renewal notice at the begging of June, the payments were going in fine till this month.
They haven't contacted me asking to confirm any changes or anything, it's so frustrating.
Thanks0 -
Yeah I received that and they adjusted my payments accordingly.
Thanks again0 -

An alternative way of checking, although this depends on your bank: phone your bank's telephone banking number and ask if they can see if a payment is due to go in. Some banks can tell if a credit is due to go in the next working day, which would be Tuesday.
It's something to do with the way that particular banks update their systems the day before. For example (though this is going back a few years), the HSBC can "see" credits from early morning the previous day whereas the NatWest can (or at least could) only see them after something like 8pm. With other banks it may be the very early hours of the actual day the credit is due. Your bank may be able to tell you tonight if a credit is showing as due to be paid into your account on Tuesday.0
