Heathrow connecting flight times

I booked Glasgow-LAX via Heathrow some time ago and am just about to pay the final balance. A friend expressed concern about the short time between the flights, especially after increased security so I'm now a little concerned. I would assume that if BA have issued the tickets with that amount of time between them it must be okay, but .....

The time between flights (all Terminal 5) is 2hr 20min outward, 2hr 35min return.

Reassurance - or otherwise if necessary:( - would be welcome.

Ticketed through? If so, that should be plenty of time and, if there's a drama, BA should put you on a later flight.

As above, if all your flights are on with BA and on one ticket, you should have plenty of time.

The official minimum connection time at T5 is just an hour. Just follow the signs for connections and you will be fine

I had a flight back from New York to Glasgow via Heathrow and only had 1hr 5 mins for connection and made it with plenty of time. I still managed to get something to eat and a very quick wander in a couple of shops.
