Blue door day

I can't remember whether we decided a blue door on an eBay shop was good or not and forum search doesn't being up the thread but mine is currently blue and my sales are better than I would expect for a bank holiday weekend. I'm selling across all my categories .I've even sold some of the items that sit there and look accusingly at me with a sad shake of the head as if to say ' you shouldn't be allowed to go to auctions on your own'.
My holiday settings will be going on again tomorrow they have been on for a while this week already, and my latest conspiracy theory (tin hats to the ready) is that somehow my visibility gets increased when I do not have my holiday settings on to make up for the lost sales when I am closed. There used to be a fairly well used theory like that on Amazon as well. If you stopped selling just pop your holiday settings on for a short while and they would start up when you were visible again.
Anyway, at this rate I might even be tempted to drag out the box of Wedgwood blue Jasper ware that I have in storage as one day it might come bAck into fashion- although perhaps it is still a bit too early for that.

I don't go with the red /blue door theory. Your door is a different colour depending in which page you are viewing it from.
However, the boards are again full of moans on zero sales.......be thankful you've bucked the trend!
Just make sure your holiday settings kick you back on the system when you turn them off, lots have said they need to reindex or they don't appear for days.0 -

My sales carried on over night, I am now way above my normal selling rate.
My holiday settings seem to work well for me, I get a noticeable kick (usually) when I take them off , although occasionally I have to wait 3 or 4 hours for my first sale. My holiday settings go on on average twice a week overnight at least. I have maintained TRS with around 95% of my listings being 'premium'. Maybe I finally have the visibility I crave - although knowing eBay this rush in sales will have to last me for the whole month:DI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Glad you're doing well. The weather is awful today, so maybe that will help sales.
I still have TRS, but sales are very slow. I am going away on Saturday so will turn on my holiday settings, so maybe that will give me a boost when I turn them off again. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

I'm away tomorrow as well but may well have Internet at least part of the time. I don't know about the door colour as I don't have a shop (just a private seller clearing out bits & bobs) but I've had a very successful weekend.
Sold loads and for good prices!
Even stuff that I have relisted multiple times and just about given up hope on.0 -
Mine are all blue and sales lame all weekend. Just had someone ask to cancel a £60 sale paid for on Saturday :-(
Hope the rain will help sales today!0 -

Had not even thought of that - thought that the only way to refund was to refund via paypal then send the buyer a mutual cancellation request?0 -

To be absolutely safe you need to send the cancellation request and then immediately refund via PayPal.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
