Claiming for refund from CCP

Hi guys
I got a credit card from Vanquis in 2010 and was contacted by Vanquis to take out card protection with CCP. I was more or less told to take out the cover to protect myself against fraud and loss of cards. I terminated the policy after about 2 years of taking it out. I am wondering if I am able to claim back the insurance as I am getting conflicting information and I want to get the ball rolling before the deadline closes. Only I have not received a letter from CCP and was wondering if I qualify. I have still got my Vanquis card and keep getting bombarded with calls from connections with Vanquis to take out some form of cover or other with them. I am dying to pay my card off as the interest is overwhelming or even get another card to transfer the balance to.
