Real Wood vs. Laminate flooring in bedroom

I read that carpet is coming back into fashion again. Some carpet is so luxurious and thick that it's more expensive than wood.
Wood can look lovely, but so can carpet. It's all down to personal choice.
People talk about allergies and cleanliness, but lots of rich people have carpeted homes that are spotless and you feel like you're walking on air.....it's warmer, softer, and quieter too. I think thus is another reason so many people complain these days about noisy neighbours....nearly everyone has laminate or wood.
And although you can wipe spill ages easy, laminate and wood isn't as easy to rid of dust as people think it is. Also, many carpets are scotch guarded and piled in such a way that they don't show marks provided you take care. Just look at some of the luxurious carpets in 5 star hotels.....they all look sumptuous and brand new, but they're not new at all0 -
Anyone seen carpet with wood patterns in it.
Found some

Another option which is warm although not cheap to fit is LVT.0 -

We have wood throughout the house downstairs and carpet from the bottom of the stairs up and what a difference on your feet carpet makes.
^^yep this.
We did the same in our old house after living with floorboards upstairs for years. Makes a huge difference to comfort.
All d/s rooms and hall = floorboards
All u/s except bathroom = carpet
