Thanks for that. My juicer is quite noisy and I live in a flat - I doubt my neighbours would appreciate the noise before 6 am
But perhaps I am going to have weekends on juice/smoothie only. Will see.
Got a new thread here where I put all my "goals" now.. will see, will see

I've lost over 2 stone following Jason Vale juicing plans since Aug and I'm planning on doing the 7 day plan after New Year. I don't have the will power to stick to the 28 day plan. I have done the 5 day plan properly twice then mostly chosen my own juices for breakfast and lunch during the week and eaten normally (it) at the weekend. I found it too much to make my juices in the morning before work (It meant getting up at 6,15!) so now I make the juices the night before and make sure I add a squirt of lemon juice and some ice. I take the juices to work in BlenderBottles and store in the fridge and it works really well
I've also occasionally made a few juices and frozen them which also works well and as my freezer is now empty after Christmas I'm going to do this for the 7 day plan i want to follow. My fruit and veg probably costs around £35 - 40 per 5 day plan - i don't specifically buy organic but don't buy supermarket cheap! I worked out that if I use Aldi it would cost me around £20 - 25! I would love to send off for the pre-prepared juices on the website but it makes each day's juice around £30 which is ridiculous - I don't know why anyone would pay that!
My juicer cost £29.99 on Amazon (Andrew James) and works really - I'm told the more expensive ones get a bit more juice but to be honest the juice I get fills a 22 oz blender bottle (around 650ml) to the brim so I can't get any more in!!                 :dance:I am finally understanding what money can do for me!0 -
US based "gurus" = money making scheme.
28 days on juices isn't going to be very healthy. Try eating a balanced diet of protein, carbs, fruit and veg for 28 days, i'll bet you get the same results. For a lot less money. No US Gurus, books or juicing machines required.0 -
Is tne 28 day plan any old juice?0

@Mrs Ids - No it's a plan put together by Jason Vale. I done 14 days of it at the start of the year. I wholeheartedly buy into juicing, although I don't agree that all the juices are delicious, some really are rubbish, but if you stick with it your tastes change and you crave healthy veggies as opposed to junk like burger and pizza.
One thing I'm unsure of from your question is if by any old juice you mean, from a carton from the supermarket or any old juice you invented from raw ingredients.
Never supermarket juice, most of the time is has stuff added and even those that don't have been pasteurised killing off some if not all of the good bits of raw juice.
If you are sensible with raw juicing you could come up with your own juice plan, but it'd need to be well researched to ensure you're getting the right mix of fruits and veg so that you take in the full range of vitamins and minerals that make up the nutrition that the body needs.0
