Super Juice Me - 28 Days Juice Plan. Anyone tried this?

After watching Fat Sick and Nearly Dead (can be seen on YouTube, the whole programme) I am full of good intentions to do the Super Juice Me 28 Days Juice Plan.

Has anyone tried it in UK? Both "gurus" are US based where it seems to be much easier to get organic veggies and fruits but I am planning a weekly trip to one of the Wholefoods Markets (bit of a treck but hey) and give it a go.

Not sure how can I manage 5 juices a day while at work but perhaps it will be ok to make them the night before, store in glass bottles and carry with me 3 at a time? One at home in the morning, 3 at work, one at home in the evening. Hmmmmm

Anyone? :)

Oh, just realised they send out ready juices in UK (5 days worth cost £149.00 LOL plus massive delivery cost) or boxes of veg/fruits as per plan (so not random items) at a cost of around £70.00 for 5 days.. ermmmmm

Still, the amount of money I spend on carp while at work easily comes to that so....

You spend £70 on food at work in 5 days and plan to replace it with three juices?

Yes I do - food and junk (chocolate/biscuits/ready juices like innocent etc)....me bad and not very MSE - I know...

I do not eat much but I eat expensive , good quality food - and then follow with junk like chocolate etc etc... very bad

BUT - just made myself a juice : beetroot, carrots, apples, lemon. Yum yum....

So will try to do this solo making my own juices with a book I have at home already as looked at "Super Juice Me 28 Days Juice Plan" (arrived today from Amazon) and sending it back - not possible when one works.

Ah.. still, will do it my way ;)

Juicing is not at all healthy!

For a start it is far too Yin in nature. Today excess Yin is a big problem for many people due to diet and lifestyle and it causes a lot of ill health.

I keep on looking into this - juices, smoothies..

And I think juices/smoothies are much better than McDonalds or KFC ;)

I do not eat meat at all, I eat good quality food and my diet would be really good if it was not for chocolate/biscuits.. sighhhh

So going to try this juice/smoothies/raw food for a while and see how it goes.

I have been advised that taking smoothies 70% green veg. and 30% fruit/carrots, sweet things. I have just had a week of nothing but green smoothies and will soon be having my first cooked meal - all steamed veg, but it's too cold to have smoothies in the evening. What might be perfectly achievable in a couple of weeks in a spa situation is hopeless if you are working full-time. I haven't been able to get much organic veg. as I live in a pretty poor area so there is little demand. I figure one has to start somewhere and once I can see results I will maybe make a journey to nearest Waitrose - about 100 mile round trip - and treat myself. I may have a few juices for a change, but on the whole I think smoothies win the day.

Living proof - thanks for that.

Same here, not possible when one works full time and commutes to work 1.5 hour each way BUT will try as much as possible. And yes, it is mostly green "stuff" I had in mind.

I ordered a massive box from Abel and Cole - not happy but nothing local/easily accessible so ordered from them once and will see, due to arrive on Wednesday...

I do a three day detox (following Jason Vale's Juicemaster Keeping it simple) now and again when I'm feeling run down. It works really well after the first day, when I have the occasional headache due to caffeine withdrawal. At the end of it I look much healthier and usually lose a few lbs. I don't fancy doing it for longer though. I've never felt hungry as there is so much juice and masses of veg in the plan.

I have found it only work if I'm well prepared, shop first and have little else around to nibble. I do take juices to work in flasks which works fine but means I have to get up quite early.
