LW - It's a charity fundraiser for Motor Nurone/MacMillan where you are nominated to throw buckets of iced water over yourself. I have my wetsuit out and will wear a mask and snorkel - just for a laugh.0

Hello
Late one for me! We got up and out early this morning to take DS2, DD and her friend to Go Ape - it's one of those assault course things right up in the treetops. Kids and I had been before so I thought it would be a doddle - my knees didn't agree! DH drove us and we thought his tummy would be too big for the harness, but when we got there they fitted him up no problemhe kept saying "I'm out of my comfort zone" whilst trying to remain manly and brave
After we had a lovely lunch in a pub, and we are all back here now utterly exhausted!
Have a good day all, hugs for those who need them xx0 -

This I'd love to see.My future son in law was nominated for an Ice Bucket Challenge yesterday and did it this morning. My daughter said they had been borrowing ice cube trays since he found out he'd been nominated and she said she made sure the water came from the outside tap too... just to make sure it was cold enough. My son has been nominated too. This should be a laugh.
Rant alert. I have been out and bought my Grandson some clothes. Not that he needs any, he has more than enough but every time he comes to our house he is wearing skinny jeans. Ive suggested carefully to my daughter that they cant be comfortable to crawl in and she told me that the shops are full of them. This morning I let him loose on the carpeted floor with just a nappy and vest on and he was across the room half the time it usually takes him. Seeing as I will be having him for a day a week when my daughter goes back to work I decided, rather than nag my daughter again about putting him in 'normal' clothes to crawl in ive been out and bought him some to keep here when I have him. She's right tight leg jeans for babies are the norm. So are 'lined' trousers. Ive never seen anything so ridiculous in my life! Who ever heard of babies wearing lined trousers and skinny jeans? I wanted to get him some dungarees but they hadn't got his size.... for goodness sake is it hard to keep a stock of what sizes they have? Do they have to design these stupid clothes for babies? Ive managed to get him some jogging bottoms but even these are narrower than I'd have liked.

All the fish are rehomed and back in ponds so presumably much happier now and He Who Knows has sawn up what was salveageable from the sleepers round the pond and is now having a very discreet bonfire and burning all the rotted ones, it smells wonderful. Am I as sad as I think I am? I love the smell of autumn with bonfires, frosty mornings, chrysanthemums and slightly bosky compost heaps with a smidge of rotting leaves, it's lovely!!!0

Had a busy couple of days. DD and soon to be son in law arrived yesterday lunchtime. Made them spicy pork then took dd and DH and me to final choice and order of wedding dress :j
They reckon they can get the dress made in time for late November so very pleased. Lovely that DH had a chance to get an idea of how she will look and then we all went for a drink to celebrate.
Everyone enjoyed Sunday lunch and managed to get lots of fresh juices into DH and made apple crumble for dessert.
DDs painted utility room and ceiling and a wall in study and SIL emptied the loft for us which is a job we had dreaded.
Made sweet potato, onion and red pepper burgers for tonight with side salad.
Trying to clear out as much as possible before putting house up for sale in mid September ready to downsize.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"

Evening all
Had good couple of days, yesterday at Ramsgate for a look at the local festival, then today a walk around the local churchyard, lots of interesting people there, went on a led walk a couple of weeks ago and found it good, so we went back again, we weren't the only ones either!
Hope you are all enjoying the BH, hugs to all that need them. XCarolbee0
