wedding anniversary ideas

Next April we will have been married 25 years and want to celebrate by having a short break of 3 or 4 days away. Due to a severely compromised immune system I cant risk flying so needs to be in UK. We have a budget of about £500, give or take a few pounds. Given that the weather could be dodgy in early April, does anyone have any suggestions? We have a campervan, so not necessarily looking for accomodation ideas, more where to go, things to do or see suggestions really.

Touring round the Scottish Highlands and Islands. I've been to Barra,Lewis/Harris, the Uists etc. Beautiful round there and so much wildlife. Thats what I would do if i had a camper van.Or go up on the train and book in some b and bs.0

With that budget and for a big anniversary, I'd have at least one night in a decent hotel, wherever you go.0

Every year for our anniversary we take advantage of the Legacy Hotels deal. They appear to have sold the hotel we usually go to (The White Hart in Lewes) but there are lots of others, it's very good value and includes a bottle of wine on arrival and a three course meal each night.

How about a break in the peak district or anywhere in Derbyshire? It's in the middle of the country so not too hard to get to. Buxton and Bakewell are two pretty good destinations.
Congratulations on 25 years! Any advice you can give a youngun? Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

Is catching the ferry over to France a possibility? Just you've said there's an issue with flying not an issue with being out of the UK.
Just an idea to throw into the mix.
Congratulations and have a great time whatever you choose. :beer:0
