I have a large (bulky) item for sale on ebay which I have listed as collection only. I have had a few enquiries about posting if the buyer arranges their own courier. Are there any risks to this?
Also, I have never used a courier myself so if I did agree to this, would I get a specific date & time for collection or would I have to wait around?
TIA

No, avoid like the plague. For instance, if the item is damaged in transit, you have no claim as you did not employ the courier. Buyer won't care. They can claim off the courier they used and could probably open a SNAD or INR case on ebay and get a refund off them too. And knowing ebay, they will win it too.
If you really want to offer a courier, you need to find out how much it would cost, add that to your listing and organise a courier yourself.0

Agree to it if they pay for whatever it is you've sold by a safe means (not paypal) - bank transfer for example."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

cash wise thats safe, but seller could still end up with bad feedback if buyers courier damages it in transit etc.
I would stick to collection in person only0
