How to delete apps from Moto G

I'm probably missing something but when I click on an app to delete it there is no option to 'uninstall' and the app icon is just dragged to the desktop. I now have five icons of Play Store on the desktop.

Hold and drag, the ones you want off the home screen, to the bin icon that appears (top or bottom.Not sure on the Moto G).
Go into the 'App drawer' hold on the icons and let go when they start shaking. Tap on the X to uninstall.
Or go to settings....Application manager.....and find the app you want to uninstall....Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Hold and drag to TOP to BIN(delete) a copy. You cant uninstall 'PlayStore', just bin the copies0
