Plumbing help

I'm thinking of fitting a Bath-Shower-Mixer-Tap

Most specify minimum 1 bar pressure. All my water is mains fed with no water tanks. On my combi boiler the system pressure can easily be filled to 2+ bar so presumably the water supply is over 1 bar. Is this right?.

Fitting. If needed, can I use bath connector to push fit flexi hoses. This is hopefully the easiest and cheapest way for me. Other fittings involve short lengths of copper pipe which I don't have.

The pressure gauge on your boiler indicates the system pressure within the boiler and radiators. Nothing at all to do with your water pressure into your house.

It is possible but your highly unlikely to have less than 1bar mains water in your house.

Yes you will be fine, just make sure the flexi's are WRAS approved

Thanks for the replies. I've looked behind the bath panel and hopefully I can simply remove the old taps and fit the new ones with the current fittings. Are bath taps standard sizes?
As I live in a flat which is on one level if I turn the water off and open both bath taps will this drain the pipes to just above the bath tap connectors?.

You will still have a little bit of water in the taps but nothing a towel won't cope with, if you have a standard bath shower mixer then yes the size should be the same,

I don't call £75 an hr for advice on a Sunday expensive Cy, just stick the chq in the post. :D

Don't forget about an electric shower, it might be more expensive to use but you will be glad you have it if your boiler breaks down in the middle of winter and the his GSI guys are rushed off their feet.
