  • I had to replace the wax thermostat at ridiculous cost, now my immersion stat is set to 65c and it does reach 70c on occassions.

    If you're going to store DHW at very high temperatures, you really ought to extract it from storage using a blending valve so that delivery temperatures are at a reasonable level.

    I know nothing about possible damage to wax thermostats etc but base my advice on the dreadful results that might ensue if an unsuspecting user decides to stick their hand (or worse !) under a hot tap.
