Hopefully the tip of an upcoming iceberg of PPC alienation across the country. PPC operators can thank profusely both UKPC and ParkingEye for their efforts in bringing this scandal to the personal attention of the Secretary of State for Health.
And hospitals need to take special notes of this:The guidance to health trusts makes clear they will be responsible for the actions of the private firms that run more than three quarters of hospital car parks. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Never heard of these but another place for people to complain to as well as PALS because Anna Bradley looks like a good person to get onside:
http://www.healthwatch.co.uk/our-people *
This comment alone is astonishing when you think about all the aspects they must cover:
'' Anna Bradley, of Healthwatch England, said complaints about parking charges were by far the most common concern raised by patients and their families. ''
* Anna is a long-standing consumer advocate, having worked at Which? for many years, and was formerly Chief Executive of The National Consumer Council. She also has long experience as a regulator, having been a director at the Financial Services Authority and the Chair of two professional regulators - an organic certification body and the Ofcom Consumer Panel.PRIVATE 'PCN'? Well this would mean banning the whole of these vermin, their priority is enriching themselves and not giving a toss about anyone else. They will have to act against rogue contractors and not sign contracts ‘on any basis that incentivises fines’.When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Not signing future contracts with PPCs is one thing, getting rid of current contracts will be a whole different kettle of fish - I'm sure PE will have wrapped themselves in similar protection to that which cost Somerfield half a million. Can you imagine that magnitude of funding being ripped from the NHS?
Cancelled heart ops, reduction in life-saving organ transplants, cancer patients delayed in receiving essential treatment - and PE won't give a stuff in demanding, almost literally, their pound of flesh.
Interesting days ahead at hospitals. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

If the government legislates on this the trusts will have no option to get rid, and as most breach the contracts in some form or another they will be gone. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

But this will, apparently, be "guidance" which can be ignored. But this announcement still generates a few soundbites for the Government immediately prior to the last party conference before the election.Je suis Charlie0 -
Guidance. Not mandatory. And the trusts are already responsible for the actions of their cowboy agents, however much they might pretend otherwise.
I predict no change.Je suis Charlie.0 -
